November 2006 We were commissioned by John Cusack to design the interiors package for his new club "XANGO" part of the Castle Arch Hotel complex located of the heritage town of Trim, on the banks of the River Boyne. When the concept was presented to John it was obvious that this was going to be “very special”. The striking use of modern materials and technologies inspired our client to contract us to design and install all of the sound and audio visual systems for the project as well as the “Fx” lighting. This enabled us to realise the full potential of the venue. Mood lighting infuses colour into the club, setting scenes in the public areas away from the dance floor and providing a constantly changing vista of warm pastel colour changes. While on the dance floor we continued our visual impact with a totally awesome Void Acoustics sound system. The revolutionary sculpted Air Motion series transducers not only look phenomenal; but sound it as well. Using video graphics viewed on LED pixel wall panels as well as conventional plasma and LCD display monitors we are able to produce stunning 3D imagery coupled with customer interactive messaging through out "XANGO". After due consideration we opted for Robe ColorSpot 250AT Moving head intelligent effects lighting pieces to form the nucleolus of the lighting above the dance area. The variety of dramatic colour changes, gobo styles and the history of reliability “in the field” made these units our preferred choice. Stylish interiors, coupled with tomorrow’s technology today "XANGO" has it all. |
